Relative performance vs benchmark

See which securities outperform your chosen benchmark.

Add the securities you want to compare, then select any one of them in the Benchmark menu. Every performance period switches from absolute return to relative performance so leaders and laggards are measured against the same reference.

A focused view of market performance

Excess return calculated consistently for every period

For each symbol and period, Market Performance Tracker subtracts the benchmark’s percentage performance from the symbol’s percentage performance. A positive value means the symbol outperformed the benchmark; a negative value means it underperformed. Choose Off to return the grid to absolute returns.

FAQ

FAQ

Which security can I use as the benchmark?

Any symbol already present in your watchlist can be selected from the Benchmark menu.

How is relative performance calculated?

Symbol performance minus benchmark performance for the same period. The benchmark row therefore displays zero when both values are available.

Can I switch back to normal returns?

Yes. Select Off (absolute returns) in the Benchmark menu.
